Hi all,
this journal is going QUASI-friends only mostly public. To be honest, I am trying to figure out what I want to do with it, but I will only be locking my (infrequent) personal posts.

You can find all my artwork posted at beetarty, where I post my art. I also have HELIOTROPE, my website, and an INDEX OF MY ART, by date, here to help you find older works and give you a more general sense of the complete body of my work. If you haven't joined beetarty, what are you waiting for??

If you are new to my journal, my journal user info is a great place to learn more about me. At this point I am probably best known for my Smallville digital manipulations. I have also started manippingin Stargate: Atlantis and Supernatural. You can find them all housed in my art community, beetarty. I lock the adult manips in that community and you must apply to join the community to see them.

That said, you are more than welcome to friend this journal as well. I natter on about my personal life (not very exciting), occasionally about Smallville, and most recently a bit about Stargate: Atlantis, Supernatural, and Merlin. And I keep up with my friends list as best I can. *smiles winningly*

After several crazy months of travel for work, friends, and family, I finally had the chance to read (a tiny fraction of) my LJ/DW backlog. And, friends, this is it! I can't take the duplication between my two journals any more!

So, I'm reorganizing and checking for who is posting on DW and/or LJ. If you see a defriending or other changes, don't panic. Nothing is going on except me shuffling where I read posts.

I'm far past due on dropping by the fannish community to say hey.

Things are going well in the new city at the new job. I am amazed at how many people I know pass through new city--it's wonderful! I am also amazed at the number of fangirls in new city. I've been on two three four fannish outings and am pleased to say that without exception, every fangirl I've met has been super smart! And fun! So, emerging from my fannish cave is going well.

I saw Benedict Cumberbatch in Frankenstein today--the play, itself was far more focused on the creature's perspective than I expected. It was interested and I enjoyed it, for the most part. As a word of warning, Danny Boyle's play has a fairly shocking portrayal of rape. In any case, Benedict was lovely and (again!) well dressed. :D

I'm trying to scrape up other news, but apart from SV's impending finale (another fannish event I'll be checking in at), I can't think of much. To be honest, work is eating most of my attention and energy. It's good, but it's an adjustment to get up to ramp up to new jobs level of activity.

Once again it has been ages and ages since I've posted. Since May, in fact.

I've been busy, but not, in all honesty, that busy. I'm clearly going through the outs with journaling. I've very, very occasionally read my f-lists, but have hardly even done that. What has happened to me??! I've become (re-become?) a lurker!

Dear long lost friends, are any of you watching or playing with Sherlock(BBC)? Or other Sherlock variatios? Star Trek? Who should I be abruptly stalking in those fandoms? Looking for fic, good meta, and other hilarity. Also, how the heck are you guys?

Also, is anyone still using Insane Journal?

I'm trying new things! This is my only kink_bingo entry for the year (Bad Beet!), but it means I can try again with next years game. I'm checking in since it's been so long. I'm still here! I've just been busy and haven't had much time to LJ of late. I only have a couple hours of free time in the evenings and somehow posting doesn't seem to make the cut very often.

In other news, I will be going back to India for a few weeks in May to visit my cousin who is doing some non-profit work there. I am SUPER excited to go see her. I am also excited because I will be going with my aunt and uncle and their son, which will be the first time I've been in India with any family or non-Indophiles. SO excited to introduce them to the country I love!

Lastly, am thinking about--maybe--attending my first fan convention. A big step for this shy fangirl.

Hope everyone is doing well. I am so woefully behind on even reading LJ, I'm feeling bad that I don't know what's going on with you all.
